Busta Sets Out To Cure Hip Hop's Cancer With Chemo

New York rapper Busta Rhymes isn't wasting any time readying his next project. The 'Conglomorate' hitmaker who released his eighth studio album a mere 4 months ago, is currently putting the finishing touches on his next project which he says will help rid Hip Hop of its "Cancer."

Busta says he's about 80% done with the album tentatively titled "The Chemo."

"The new album is 80 percent finished, and it’s called The Chemo. It’s the first time I’m announcing the name of the album. It’s self-explanatory. We’re coming to kill the cancer in music. I ain’t trying to offend anybody."

According to Busta, artists need to "re-establish the understanding that the perspective of hip-hop is to make music that always felt undeniable and unprecedented and we set a standard."

"I feel that starting to happen again with the likes of the Raekwon Cuban Linx II, and a lot of projects are starting to feel like they’re coming again,"

“A lot of projects are feeling like they remind us of what hip-hop is really supposed to feel and sound like."

Busta didn't mention a release schedule for his nintht studio album.

His last LP, Back On My Bullshit, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200, selling 56,000 copies.

The album has sold 122,000 copies to date.
