Beanie Airs Jay-Z Out On Philly Radio

Beanie Sigel called into Philadelphia radio station 100.3 The Beat this morning (October 30), where he discussed a controversial new track in which he disses Jay-Z.

Sigel expresses his frustration with Jay-Z on the track, because of lines on Jay’s Blueprint 3, as well as the handling of Sigel’s career after a prison stint in 2004, as Roc-A-Fella Records was breaking up.

This morning, Philadelphia rapper called into Charlamagne Tha God’s Morning Show and explained his motivation for releasing the record in detail.

Sigel claimed that several lines on Jay-Z’s song “Already” were the catalyst for the shocking diss record in addition to this treatment at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert last weekend, which Jay-Z headlined.

Additionally, the “Broad Street Bully” revealed that he felt slighted for not being included on Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 album.

Sigel also reiterated his claims that Jigga abandoned Roc-A-Fella rap group State Property, which featured group members Freeway, Peedi Peedi, Oschino, Omillio Sparks, and the Young Gunz (Young Chris and Neef ).

“Jay in another place and I understand that. He did what he did as far as signing people to Roc-A-Fella Records, you did that,” Sigel told Charlamagne Tha God. “But as far as the push that people coulda got that really could have did things, you didn’t do that. If you look at 50 Cent - no disrespect to the G-Unit, cause I love the way 50 Cent did with his dogs - but if you look at it, them dudes got more money and more bread than anybody in State Property. Because 50 made sure of that. 50 took his people on tour and paid them, not tell them it was a good look for them to be on tour.”

Sigel claimed that life on Roc-A-Fella Records was not glamour and glitz, despite State Property’s output for Roc-A-Fella.

Collectively, or individually the Philadelphia group released hit records like “Feel It In the Air” (Beanie Sigel), “Roc the Mic” (Freeway) and “Can‘t Stop, Won‘t Stop” (Young Gunz) in addition to starring in two State Property movies and a State Property clothing line, which was sold in major department stores.

“The clothing line and all that came about cause Dame did that. Dame gave me the clothing line. I got the Pro-Keds thing that came from a situation that I did, but then Dame back doored the sneak and gets with the licensee guy who licenses Rocawear and buys the license out the Pro-Keds, without me knowing it,” Sigel said. “So now I am not getting 50 % profit that I would be getting off every Pro-Ked sneaker sold with the SP logo on it like the original deal was... As a team player, why just wear the Pro-Keds when I can cross-market it and have my own sneaker? Then Dame stopped making Pro-Keds with the SP symbol on it.”

Beanie Sigel revealed that he has not had a conversation with Jay-Z in over two years and that Dame Dash’s reckless spending was the reason for Roc-A-Fella’s demise.

Jigga Talks Video For "As Real As It Gets" Possible Tour In 2010 With Jeezy

With his album, still sitting very comfortably on the top five best selling albums on the Billboard charts, over a month since it was released. Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z is still on the grind. The former Def Jam C.E.O. is currently in the process of trying to film the video for his next single "As Real As It Gets" featuring Young Jeezy. According to Jeezy, the two have not filmed anything yet but planned to film a clip for the record in the near future.

"We just gonna go dumb, call Rick Ross up, everybody. We'll have cars, watches, blunts, money, just go dumb. Dumm-meeee! That's what we need to do."

In an interview with MTV, Jigga spoke about the video saying that the clip was still in the cards, but they had to figure out how some time to schedule everything where Hov and Jeezy could be together.

"Hopefully, we'll shoot that. But it's difficult. I don't have too many gaps in my schedule. So I'll try to figure it out. I really wanna do it in Atlanta. "At the moment Jay is on tour, performing at a wide array of places including several colleges, but he is already thinking about another tour, saying that he is already in the process of another one for early 2010 even hinting that Jeezy could be involved as well.

"Yeah, that's a possibility," Hov said.

"Young Jizzle, I got a great relationship with him. I think he's one of those guys that's gonna be here for a minute. People are interested in what he has to say. It's not about a song, although he makes great songs. It's more about what he has to say or what he has to offer: music that is sustainable, which is great and will be around forever."

Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 has sold over a million records and is number four in the top 200 albums after being released in September 11th.

Scores Injured During Akon/T-Pain Concert Brawls

A concert featuring Akon and T-Pain turned into pandemonium Sunday (October 25) that left 18 people injured in Melbourne, Australia.

The pair were headlining a concert at the HiSense Arena when rival gangs began brawling in the audience.

Nine people and two security guards were taken to the hospital in six ambulances, where they received treatment for lacerations, bruises and other minor injuries.

Akon leapt from the stage during his performance in an attempt to quell the violence, which continued throughout the remainder of the concert, which cost fans up to $125 dollars-per ticket.

"I don't know if y'all know hard it took me to get here," Akon said from the shoulders of a burly security guard. "It took me almost two years for Australia to let me back in the country and I'm not going to let them f**k up our concert tonight."

One man was arrested for assaulting and knocking a security guard unconsciousness, while another six people reported injuries, but refused treatment.

According to reports, it took Akon almost two years to receive his work permit in Australia, due to his prior criminal record.

Kay Slay Blames Album Delay On Plies; Replaces Rapper With Yo Gotti

A cameo appearance by rapper Plies on Kay Slay's upcoming album More Than Just a DJ has caused a rift between the emcee and the Hot 97 radio jock.

According to Kay Slay, he approached Plies about appearing in the video for the first single “Blockstars,” which originally featured Plies, Jim Jones, Busta Rhymes and Ray J.

Their relationship soured when Plies proved to be difficult for the veteran South Bronx DJ to reach in an attempt to shoot the video for the single.

“Blockstars” is the first single off of More Than Just a DJ, which is Kay Slay’s fourth official album.

The release was due in stores October 13 but was pushed back until December, while a new version of the single and video was shot.

“I had to push my album to December 8, because the f**k boy gets on the record, the f**k boy clears the record, the label do all the clearances. Then when its time to do the video, the n***a gets low. Stopped answering the phone, all kinds of crazy s**t,” Kay Slay told AllHipHop.com. “But that's cool because at the end of the day, the n***a really don't owe me nothing. But as a man, you're supposed to do what men do. If you gonna do something, just honor the s**t. If you don't want to, don't f**k with it."

According to Kay Slay, he wasted no time in choosing a replacement for Plies and choose Memphis rapper Yo Gotti to appear on both the track and the upcoming video for the single.

"He [Yo Gotti] did the video and he wasn't scared to come to New York anywhere to do the s**t [without] saying I need this amount of police to do this and a n***a got have on a uniform and all kinds of all f**k boy s**t," Kay Slay snapped.

Kay Slay, who hosts the popular “Drama Hour” on Hot 97 in New York each Saturday, implied that a combination of Plies youth and his platinum success was impairing his judgment.

"This is what happens when these n***s come around early and you show them love," Kay Slay said. "Plies has been on my show twice. Once n***s get a few checks...I believe it's n***s around him, because the kid can't possibly have did that s**t blatantly after he came and said this, that and the third."

Plies is currently experiencing chart success with the track "Becky" and "Wasted" featuring Gucci Mane.

"We got motherf****ers like Jim Jones who done sold millions of records, and Busta Rhymes, who has sold millions of records, they do the video with no problem," said Kay Slay.

Fans of Plies can catch the rapper performing "Wasted" with Gucci Mane during the Bet Hip-Hop Awards on BET tomorrow evening (October 27).

DJ Kay Slay’s More Than Just a DJ is in stores December 8.

The album features cameo appearances from some of Hip-Hop’s biggest acts, including 50 Cent, Drake, Juelz Santana, Raekwon, Bun-B, OJ Da Juiceman and others.

The Real Rick Ross Sides With 50 Cent, Seeks New Faces For Films

Recently freed drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross has revealed plans for his career and record label now that he has his freedom, after a 20-year-prison sentence.

The Los Angeles-based rising entrepreneur has launched a label and website, FreewayEnterprise.com, which will seek new faces to star in new movies being produced by the reformed drug dealer.

Ross appeared on AllHipHop Radio’s Eric B. and Friends morning show today (October 26) and revealed details about his post-prison plans.

“I’m working on four movies right now, including one with Mike Epps," Ross revealed. "I am going to be letting people off the site play in the movie. If you are trying to get on that’s what we are doing, putting people on."

expressed his support for boxer Floyd Mayweather and rapper 50 Cent, two celebrities that have feuded with Miami rapper Rick Ross, who adopted the elder Ross’ name.

"50 Cent called me the day I got out and let me know if there was anything I needed to just let him know," Ross told AllHipHop.com Radio. "I don’t know how he got my cell but the morning I got out he called me and expressed his support."

During the interview, Ross broke down his strained relationship with Philadelphia rapper Freeway and Miami emcee Rick Ross, who was born William Roberts III.

“In the beginning I was offended being in prison. Prison makes you a little bitter. I was a little bitter that they didn’t reach out and show me some love for using my handle,” Ross continued. “But right now I am enjoying life. Freeway reached out a week before I got out, but Rick Ross has never reached out, he still hasn’t reached out.”

Ross was freed from the Texarkana Federal Prison in September of 2009, after serving 14-years of a 20-year sentence, after he was busted purchasing 100 kilos of cocaine from undercover agents in 1996.

An attempt to contact rapper Rick Ross was successful when the rap artist first burst upon the national scene in 2001, but the conversation didn’t go well.

“He abruptly stopped taking my phone calls," Ross told AllHipHop.com. "I didn’t come with my hand out, I came with ideas that I thought could make their career better. I don’t want to be around nobody where I am just getting fed, I want to be somebody that brings substance to the table.”

The drug baron, who often counted up to as much as a million-dollars per day through his crack dealing operations, is currently finalizing his autobiography in addition to a film centered around his controversial life.

“I am more prepared now than I ever have been before in my life,” Ross stated. “I took all my prior experiences and ive been able to flip them into this legitimate world. I’ve transformed my drug experiences into legitimate business.”

Mase bumrushes Diddy on live radio and gets him to sign release papers?

Mase Makes Puff Release Him In The Middle of V103's Ryan Cameron Show from shudduptv on Vimeo.

That signature wasn’t on a contract release form…it was basically an appearance release form. Basically, Diddy is allowing Mase to appear on songs with other artists. He is not freeing Mase from his contractual obligations to Bad Boy.

But this is a start, because Mase already has a big feature in the works, as well as a potential home at Interscope…..which would work out well in terms of those old contractual obligations because Diddy is already over at Interscope as well.

See how that would all fit together? Synergy, lol ; )

Shyne To Be Freed Today; Diddy Clarifies Relationship

Today (October 6), rapper Shyne will be released from prison after serving 9 years on assault and attempted murder charges.

At the time of his sentencing in 2001, Shyne has secured a gold debut album, and was poised to have a successful career run.

In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Sean “Diddy” combs spoke on his former star pupil’s release and their current relationship.

Shyne is not signed to Bad Boy anymore,” Combs revealed to AllHipHop.com exclusively. “I looked forward to this day. The whole situation was a tragic situation. He’s a young man that has a whole life ahead of him to live to be successful and to come out here and put his foot in the game.”

Like the initial bidding war that preceded his Bad Boy signing, Shyne’s new label home has been the subject of much media speculation.

Mogul Jay-Z denied meeting with the rapper, but acknowledged a Roc Nation signing was a “possibility” and there would likely be a future meeting.

On this matter, Diddy offered clarity on whether there would be further music projects between the two.

“I don’t have anything to do with his personal business or his career,” Combs told AllHipHop.com. “As far as our relationship, only time will tell.”

Shyne, born Jamal Barrow, was sentenced to the lengthy stint in prison after a violent shootout inside of Club New York, while he attended a party with Combs and Combs’ then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.

Both he and Combs stood trial for the shooting. Combs was acquitted during the sensational trial, while Shyne was found guilty.

According to Shyne’s lawyer, Oscar Michelin, the rapper is required to complete two and a half years of probation per a special request from New York’s Correction Department.

At press time, Shyne’s rumored 3rd album is set to be titled Godfather Exhumed.

Jim Jones Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Ne-Yo's Manager

Harlem, New York rapper Jim Jones entered into a guilty plea in relation to a scuffle inside of the Louis Vuitton store in New York city last December.

Jones plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge earlier today (October 5) in Manhattan Criminal Court after being accused of assaulting Ne-Yo’s manager Jayvon Smith.

According to Jones’ attorney Scott Leemon, the rapper was sentenced to time served, based on the time he spent incarcerated shortly after the arrest in January.

Jones pled guilty in order to avoid probation, which could have interfered with his ability to tour, Leemon stated.

The rapper originally pleaded not guilty to the charges last February and initially denied his involvement in the altercation with Smith, which happened in the pricey store last December 22.
